South Lozells, Birmingham :

We have been commisioned by Birmingham City Council with our partners EC Harris and the Community Regeneration Partnership to provide realistic and deliverable options in the regeneration and transformation of housing, social, environmental and economic conditions within the local area. Providing a range of quality, mixed tenure housing that satisfies local needs.

Former Ashbank, Crewe:

We have recently prepared and submitted to the local authority a Building Regulations application on this development for 22 new houses. This development is just down the road from the home of the exclusive car makers Bentley.

The houses are 2/3 bedroomed properties which are ideal for starter homes or a young family.

The construction started in November 2006 and completion is due Summer 2008.

Trinity Architecture in conjunction with Community Base:

Offers the methodology to transform an area from abandonment with poor quality housing and environment to a popular area with high quality, well maintained homes both new and refurbished; where people choose to live. This results in land and property values increasing to the benefit of all residents whether owner occupiers, public or private sector organisations.

To facilitate the implementation of the aproach Trinity Architecture & Design Ltd, along with leading software experts have developed a ‘virtual fly through’ planning tool. The Real Time system enables residents and other local stakeholders to see on screen how their area looks so they can make suggestions about how the area could be changed.

The software enables touch screen community consultation, which can cut months off the process. This approach means a lot of the ‘fear’ of development can be taken out of the proposals by actively engaging the community in making decisions, ensuring their support and speed up the delivery of the project.

Spread sheets calculate the costs for the proposed development and this enables the “budget” to be on screen for all to see, the amount of public sector and private sector input required and the return on capital involved that will ensure private sector investment. We believe this will help both communities and planners to make decisions about the priorities for their area and greatly increases the speed of delivery.

Below are 'screen grabs' taken from the software.

Bursley Road, Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent:

Our client’s requirements was to provide quality housing for the social requirements of the people in the area and to utilise a vacant and unattractive piece of land in their ownership to make aesthetically pleasing and desirable homes.

The scheme was developed after a public consultation run by Blue Mountain Housing Association. The new dwellings conform to Stoke’s premise of regeneration

whilst providing affordable properties for family sized units for minority groups.

The houses have been designed with the courtyard concept in mind and we have tried to create houses with a cottage appeal.

The existing buildings in the area are predominately red facing brick with a slate roof. We have replicated this appearance so the characteristics of the area are upheld.
