Monks Hall, Eccles
The proposal involved the restoration and repair of a late 16th Century architectural hall and its conversion into 4 new apartments. The scheme required by our client was to create 24 new apartments in new residential blocks.
The scheme was designed so not to detract from the character of the Listed Building, or its setting, with references taken from the surrounding area.
The existing views of the Grade II Listed Building were carefully preserved to refrain from adding any negative impact to the surrounding streetscape. The planning application process undertook negotiations with English Heritage and the Conservation Department at Salford City Council.
